NPD: Yellow Fever

Picked up another yellow pedal - a yella DOD 201 (late 70s?).

Came broken unfortunately (the board apparently rests on top of the pot's terminals, which seems like a bad design; it popped right off during shipping from what I can tell). I ran some jumper wires and it fired up and sounds KILLER. Ba-ba-ba-ba-baaaaa, I'm lovin' it - works great with any sound, clean or dirty. Subtle & at higher settings, vibrato-y. Just what the doctor ordered.

Congrats! I’m a fan as well. I ended up selling my vintage one and buying the reissue to have the LED and peace of mind.

What’s next, a yellow comp?

Is the banana true bypass?

Congrats on the Phase 45, I mean Phaser 201 :23: Those are great for more "vibey" kinds of sounds.

Once I saw it was broken I was lamenting the fact I didn't get a blue newer one (they look sick and the LED and true bypass are big bonuses), but now that it works it's all good.

I should get a yellow preamp 250!

I looked at those as well (script 45). That's how it all started actually. If they only made them in yellow! (j/k - sort of, but not really)

Cool! As stated above 2-stage phasers are great for more subtle stuff.

Time for a Diamond Comp, Alexander Chrono Delay, Yellow 250, AC Booster, and MXR Micro Chorus....

Cool addition! Meh, true bypass is cool but not on my list of must have features. Colouration is a Good Thing! :)
