Never been much of a compressor guy. I always figured, if I'm playing a show then I'm likely going into their board and they will have a compressor that I go through for bass. Either that or I go into a studio and they will compress me while recording anyway.
But I was advised to get one to compress the signal a bit before it runs through the rest of my effects for greater overall consistency, so I snagged this one used locally for half of what it is new, and it's in great shape.
Heard the thing was great for guitar and bass (with the exception of maybe 5 string actives), which is essentially what I've been building my pedalboard to do. Anyone else use or ever used one of the Keeley 4 knob compressors? I've noticed there are quite a few different looks to them but they seem to all be the same internally.
