NPUD Need some wiring help though.

Hi all, so the other day the set of Sonic 60s I ordered for my Fender Mustang from The Creamery arrived, and to day I began the install. I have a question about the wiring though. The stock fender pickups are two conductor, hot and ground, but the new pickups have three conductors, hot-white, coil ground-black, and baseplate ground-red. My question is what do I do with the red wire? Should it be wired to the switch with the coil ground, or should it be run separately to ground? Part of me thinks the switch because they're connected internally in the stock pickup, but part of me thinks the should be separate so that the base is grounded whether the switch is set in or out of phase. Idk?
Included are some pics of the stock pickups/wiring and one with the new pickup.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: NPUD Need some wiring help though.

I'd say ground it separately, that way the baseplate ground isn't being sent to the output when you are out of phase. It shouldn't make a world of a difference either way.

youll want to ground the red separately, you dont want it in the circuit when you flip phase
