NSD X 8

Went a little crazy this week trying to reload my Hughes & Kettner Triamp 4X12. Figured I couldn't afford real Celestions, so I started shopping around for WGS speakers. Located two on ebay, a Reaper 55 (G12H30 55hz) and a Green Beret (Greenback) for $135 shipped. Then I saw an auction for a Celestion Greenback and Eminence Lucky Lady. Got them both for $100 shipped. I didn't want to go over $300 for speakers considering I may only get $250 for the ones in it if I'm lucky, so I was going to sell the Lucky Lady and shoot for another Reaper or a G12H30. Then I saw an ad on Craigslist. Four brand new Greenbacks for $250. The fellow had a TSL and wanted to load the cab with Greenbacks, but had trouble with the TSL and sold it. He didn't need these anymore and didn't want them sitting around, so I picked them up this morning. Brandy new as he said, and now I guess I'll try and decide what I want to load the cabinet with and sell the leftovers. No matter what, it felt good to get some new gear. Sweet!

Re: NSD X 8

Got a nice surprise today! I got the Greenback and Lucky Lady, and the Greenback is made in England.

Re: NSD X 8

I had a NSD recently when mojotone was selling their british voiced speakers for $60/speaker. I got the copy of the greenback and now I want a 2x12 so I can have both the greenback and the vintage 30 I already had lol. Four brand new greenbacks for $250 is a ridiculous deal though.

I've read lots of good things about that speaker on this forum. Wish you lotsa luck with it!
