It's been literally years since I last got a new guitar, truth is I couldn't justify any more and I haven't been playing nearly enough to even justify owning the ones I already do.
I had intended to sell one of mine but I was contacted by a young man that was looking for a "Super-Strat" as in, a Strat that was a bit more super than a Fender but not a full-out metal axe like the below that he was selling himself:

I went by his home today, we chatted, tried each others' guitars and in the end we decided that we could oblige each other.
I parted ways with my Grover Jackson Washburn MG-102 which despite how incredible of a guitar she is, she had unfortunately been living in the shadow of her two older sisters, an MG-104 and a MG-120, and I came home with a '99 I believe Japan Custom shop ESP Horizon.
Unfortunately the guitar was a studio axe before he got her and she has seen better days; nicks, scratches, minor belt rash and a couple of chips here and there, the pu rings have minor cracks, the locking bolts will probably have to be replaced as the allen key slips when tightening, the German Floyd Rose needs some cleaning and all the screws will either be cleaned or replaced with new ones. The backplate is also missing.
However the neck is straight and very comfortable, the frets are in great condition and everything seems to be in good working order. I believe there's a '59/JB combo in her and they're both pretty good in her, sounds like a good superstrat should.
I believe she's a little TLC away from being a pretty good axe and if things don't work out, I do believe I could get more for her than I could with the Washburn which is relatively unknown around my parts.
So, what do you guys think?
(The photo is from the guy that traded her, I don't intend to take photographs of my own until I have taken care of her a little more).
