NTGD (new travel guitar day)

Needed a travel electric since I'm going to be able to play with my old drummer in AZ but didn't want to lug my full sized nice guitars around and expose them to the searing heat of an Arizona summer.

On a whim, I popped into a local shop that has a pretty sweet scratch-n-dent room. Picked this baby up for 22 bucks (short-scale Sawtooth "Rise").

Thanks - surprisingly well. Goes out of tune here and there which I expected.

I have seen those on amazon for less than $100

they look kinda neat

My gf's little cousing has the same guitar. They come set up horribly, but some new strings, a fret polish, and the bridge pickup out of my Epi Alleykat made a BIG difference. Hell, it made me consider one as a cheap stand in for some of my other guitars. The finish on the one I messed with was surprisingly good as was the quality of the fret work. The neck is on the thick side, but it tisn't any more cumbersome than the neck on my '62RI strat.
