Yeah, I know.. I needed another guitar like I need a hole in my skull.. Especially now with money crunch due to child's shenanigans... BUT.....
In 2009 Dean did a a limited guitar run for members of their user group.. Like we do our special pickups here. They produced ONLY 24 of these guitars and I bought number 5. Well, due to finances, I ended up selling it and have regretted ever since. Was (at least to me, beautiful) and it plays like a dream. Its got the short scale and the thick tone and sustain of a LP, but the neck is very thin and fast like many Deans are. Thats what I really loved about it. Plus, it sounds amazing!
Before we get to the pron, a few details... As I said, was a limited run of only 24 and due that fact, they NEVER come up for sale, so I had to get it. The model is : 2009 Dean Soltero Bella Noir. Special features that came on this model that were voted on by the members:
(many of these features not avail on regular production models)
Piano black finish with natural edges
MOP block inlay
Bound neck
Bridge pup is the Dean USA Mountain of Tone.
Neck is the Dean USA Nostalgia
There are other things as well, but those are some of the keys. But the big tone and thin neck are what really rocks my rolls...
This one is in almost BRAND NEW condition and still had the plastic on the back covers. And I got it half the price I originally paid for my first one. (or else I wouldnt have been able to do it) Still shouldnt have, but she is special!!
