Observation

During the last half of 2014 and somewhat the beginning of 2015, this section (Tips and Clips) of the forum
was practically a ghost town; one or more tumbleweeds might roll on by.

Now, it's hopping with regular activity (as it should be).

This is a good thing.

Re: Observation

I think it's got potential to be the most happening part of the forum. This is all about music right, and what better way to discuss it, showcase it, and figure it all out than through recording something and putting it on here.

Re: Observation

I would love to see this part of the forum become the most visited place.

It doesn't make sense how this section isn't more popular. The internet is filled with haters, and this is the place to critique (nice way of saying 'hating') other people's work, especially my own.

Re: Observation

When I get on the forum, I always hit the "new posts" tab and usually check out peoples sound clips. I suppose that I should work on having more to offer myself. Especially considering the '78 giveaway that I just heard.
But yes, you are right we would all be better off speaking with posts of us playing as much as, if not more so, than of us speaking with type.

I agree it doesn't make sense, but it is the norm for guitar/amp forums. The clips section in any given guitar/amp forum
is usually the one with the least activity.

Re: Observation

So it's bad that people post about gear on a gear forum?
Yes, very bad.

Just kidding!

Of course it's not bad, and I think you are jumping to conclusions.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a song clip is worth a million.

I think ppl are more apt to post a photo of their lunch than make a 20 second video of a riff they just wrote...

Re: Observation

I like when people post their stuff here!
Sometimes a clip or two say more than a billion words about the tools used.
I like both ways...as it is obvious a gearforum.
Just like to hear it used as well :)

Re: Observation

Most of us I suspect are afraid of embarrassing ourselves.

Never stopped me, but ....

Re: Observation

Yeah, I'm pointing out how this section has progressed; nothing more. No evil scheme here except...

...it's my orange '78 set entry. :naughty:
