Something odd happened earlyer. I noticed my amp sounded funny (distorting at Low volumes, Sorta thin and buzzy, Not as loud as it was before), and Upon lookin in the back of it. I noticed Only one Power tube was glowing. And I also noticed that it Looked like it was Falling out of its socket. So I pushed on it, and It went in more, and started glowing like its suppoused to. And I Noticed the little springy metal clip thingy that holds it in place was a tad loose. So I turned the amp off and pulled the tube out, and pinched the clip closer together, so it'll hold the tube tighter. And It seems to be fine now, and holding the tube in the socket fine.
But I was wondering, Does this just happen over time? Like do these clips normally just loosen on they're own over the years? And is there anything else I should do ta make sure the tube doesn't loosen itself again? I mean, Is this normal?
