OFR

Re: OFR

Obviously, R3 and R4 are the same width. However, R3 is for bound fretboards and has narrower string spacing than the R4

Re: OFR

I was told R4 was for necks with binding. I have a Warmoth Pro neck 1 11/16th nut and use an R3.

Re: OFR

As long as ESP specifies a 43mm nut for that model, then you can choose between the R3 and R4, depending on how wide you want the string spacing. Obviously, R4 will give you the widest spacing, but you shouldn't run into issues with either one.

hmmm. maybe ill take a gamble on R4, seems to be the way to go.

Re: OFR

You need to make sure of the width, R3 & R4 are 43mm/1 11/16", some LTD's are 42mm. Also, the depth can be an issue, I have a FR nut that's too deep for a Jackson.

Re: OFR

Ah crap, didnt think of nut depth, maybe I'll just use the existing nut, if it doesn't fit. I measured it, it is 1 11/16.
