OK! 59b compared with the JB. Which it is treblier?

Re: OK! 59b compared with the JB. Which it is treblier?

The 59B has more treble if treble means: extended highs and more upper harmonics.

To some, the JB might be brighter, but IMO, this is not due to extended highs and more upper harmonics...it's due to a certain "edge" to the upper mids in the JB.

I prefer the 59B...it's hot enough.

Yes, The JB has certain "edge" that almost hurts. Sometimes it is earspliting. From your answer the 59 has more treble because it isn't focused in a certain frecuency like the JB.

It this what you mean when you say the 59b has extended highs?

I guess. Extended highs means more real highs: Little springy, zingy sounding harmonics way up on top...

the 59 has more trebble, but it gets balanced out with it's lows. the JB has a ****load of upper mids so it sounds earshattering

I just found the JB to be very clear, not earsplitting at all.

i would describe the 59 as more open on the top end. meaning that the frequiencies are higher than that of the jb.
