ok..a few questions =)!

ive got my neck " bored " i guess is the right word..for grover tuners...

they're 13/32 @ the bottom... 11/32 @ the top...

id like to stick a pair of sperzel tuners in it but the warmoth site suggests ( i guess ) that the hole for sperzels should be 25/64 all the way through, would this effect the tuning at all if i put them in vs grovers ? since 11/32 < 25/64 should i sand this part out untill its flush with the 13/32 ? maybe there is something else i could do ?

also..( since im getting paid on friday ) id like to pick up a new amp! i like the one i've got id just like to try something...different i guess..right now i use a vox valvetronix tube amp but could anyone recomend any other nice tube amps ? ( i know there are many ) i dont really know what i need in it...the tone im looking for is kinda in the wah-wah bluesy type w/ a little bit of gain but i also play some metal ( a little ) if that helps out @ all =)...also i dont need anything TOO massive its just for house use ( mostly ) but if i could id like to be able to have it perform equally or around as equally outdoor / indoor @ a small event ( think around 50-100 ppl )

yo are correct in that there are many quality tube amps out there. i cannot give any advice because i don't know your price range, but typically the more amp you get, the more money you spend. also, your expectations are a little unrealistic. you want an amp that isn't too big/loud because you like to play blues and a little metal in your room, but you want it to be able to cover a small club. you should also realize that outdoor gigs REQUIRE a good sized pa for anything approaching a decent sound.

you basically have two choices...either an amp or a modeler. amps tend to be big and heavy and expensive, they require maintenance, and they are somewhat application specific. a good blues amp IS NOT gonna be a good metal amp. if you wnat an amp, i say you should consider a fender of some sort that fits your price range, since it seems that you mainly play blues. you could get a good distortion pedal and get an acceptable metal tone with that setup.

you could also get a modeler, like a pod or gnx4. these are sort of expensive and require some getting used to before you can get the kind of sounds from them that you want. they also require amplification. there is a poll/thread that covers this topic, so i won't go into it. with a modeler you get the versatility you want and their tone is independent of volume (just right for your room). a small keyboard amp would suffice for your room and/or small club gigs.

also, you should save up to buy what you want instead of just settling for what you can get. in the end, you gotta go with whatever makes you want to play. that about does it...instead of answers, you got more questions... i think.

meh well iono what clubs are like there but a club here ( las vegas ) is probably twice as big, i dont need it for something huge but if someone is having a b-day party in their back yard id just like to be heard~ i dont really think im too into the modeler thing...it seems to me that most of the guitars ive heard play through a pod or a gnx alllllll sound the same.....predictability is nice but its not for me

oh and johnjohn i noticed on the stew-mac website it says the sperzels i need are the size hole that i have w/o the choke up at the top so i think im just gonna sand it flush to the other =)
