OK, duncan distortion nickel cover review

Re: OK, duncan distortion nickel cover review

Hails Peter, thank´s man
After my last HORRIBLE experience with that Blue ibanez RG 450 ltd MIJ.. and those dimarzios... i was scared to spend money on dimarzios Again.

ahahah the only way i´ll collect funds to buy a set of Unholy BK pickups... are... IF i sell My ass out on the streets AHAHAHAH AND THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN AT ALL... Or, if i win a lottery.
but i´m waiting for some OCCULT money(ok guys, No ilicit activities here, ahaha) that my parents will receive, and then, AT LEAST A peavey 6505 i´ll buy. IT COSTS 4.500 Brazilian Money.
1 us dollar = 2.80 brazilian Money.

but now that you chime in with a dimarzio solution, Why not try?
i selected a set of dimarzios that i must try in the bridge :

Super distortion, X2N, Drop Sonic, Tone Zone, Breed!what do you think of my selection?

Hails man, thank´s. do you have soundclips of your hybrid?!

i have a custom custom and a duncan distortion
and a jazz neck is comming. i´m just waiting for TO to send it to me.
i think i´ll swap the magnet on the CC, but first of all, i need to know Which brand, size and Kind of ceramic magnet i should swap into my CC to get a DC?
can i throw in a jackson neck ceramic mag?
a DD ceramic mag will be TOO MUCH?

Hummm if i really find out that im a A2 , i´ll have to order the ****ign CC custom shop with tight and solid bass.

my tone it´s not that simple. it is related with my character and soul, and some feeling too. I´m a very sensitive guy,(not fag at all, ahahahaha) and in my oposite, i have a bad side and when i get nervous, ahahahah it can be compared to a pickusp solid and tight bass, and a crunchy and unholy mids.

Hails

thank´s for chiming IN.

Hey WFD, you really ought to look into a Custom/Distortion or C5/JB hybrid. Solid lows thick low mids, and good upper mids as well. BUT the high end can sound dry, but with a good cap I think you can tame it enough. Now that's with the large distortion mag, with a smaller custom mag the highs might be a bit wetter. The A5 should give you the JB high end, and the C5 thump. Now with the A2 you might be happiest though a CC/JB2 hybrid.

Like you I'm starting to wonder if I too am just an A2 man. I will soon be trying the A5 in my hybrid, then after that the A2. I'll keep you posted man.

Re: OK, duncan distortion nickel cover review

I'll try to get some clips when I get my recorder back.

The Custom will need your regular sized ceramic magnet. The jackson ceramic neck mag should work fine. If you want more juice, but like the tone the distortion magnet will give you more oomph, and aggression.

No prob JP! :)
