ok, reccomend me some jensens

Looking for Real Life
say you were doin a 2x12 open back combo with a tonal range that covered 50's through early 60's fender amps, in other words, tweed deluxe/tweed bassman through blonde bassman/brown vibrolux

jensens seem like the way to go, but the tweed would be more of the p-type sound while the 60's amps would be more of a c-type sound

so basically you need to be able to have good midrange crunch, AND high end twang on tap, not necessarily at the same time, but both tones have to be well in your tonal range

so what do you think?

Re: ok, reccomend me some jensens

We have a load of Jensen's next door. Feel free to take them if you want, i can't stand them.

...wait... jensen speakers? can't help.

Re: ok, reccomend me some jensens

yes, your best bet is probably to check into Weber's versions of the P12Q or P12N, and C12N. (I can't tell you what his model #s are.:smack: )
They have options on the power handling that you might prefer.

Re: ok, reccomend me some jensens

hahaha thanks puck, means a lot

anyhoo, this is gonna be a low powered combo, and both jensens are 50 watts, so i think i'll be fine with them.

the main question is - can p12n's handle c tones & vice versa, and if not if they're a good mix

Re: ok, reccomend me some jensens

P12Qs are in the new Fender RI's no? Either way, I like the throaty, glassy growl. LOVE IT! Will even improve the HR Dlx

Re: ok, reccomend me some jensens

I'm not much good with advice on Jensens. I'm not that fond of them.
