Old 130 watt 1970's New Zealand made Rocit Super Sustain. doesn't turn on

Gday guys Just flipped on the power switch on my tube amp - nothing. No jewel light. NO blue glow in tubes (power, then standby, etc.). Yes, it's plugged in. Fuse is OK and working.

the amp was working great for months, however.

It blew a fuse a week ago so I replaced it, and it went well for a few days before it blew a second one. replaced that, now no nothing, Its dead as a doorknob.

Any help would be appreciated

After a couple fuses blow, it's a good indication that an amp that old needs a real servicing by a qualified tech.

Hopefully, something didn't take out a transformer. Something in the power section is fried though. I'm sure it needs new tubes, new capacitors, and maybe another component or two.

I think it's a good idea to first buy a whole tube set at a better price, install them for a minute to see if the power comes back or not, then shut it off and take it to a tech for a checkup regardless. The amp is over 40 years old and is overdue to be looked at by a pro.

Yea I agree, they charge a premium of $90.00 an hour so hopefully it is not a big issue

Do you know anything about electronics ? Can you read a circuit and do you have a multimeter ?

I know basic electronics and have a multimeter as I wire guitars and old cars, however I don't now how to read circuit board schematics well, but ill get to the source of the issue eventually! thanks heaps for the schematic I looked everywhere for one on the web but couldn't find one!
