Old pedal stuff.....

Not loved by many these days....
But I'm not gonna get rid of mine as it is...
Fender Super Sonic, Hardwire delay at the last part of the clip, old Guyatone compressor, some orange dirtpedal:scratchch
Early 90's Ibanez RG540RR with two Wilde L-500's...

Re: Old pedal stuff.....

Sounded great... just shows a good guitarist can make anything sound good. I really like those orange boxes. ;) I bought a DS-2 the other day and I tried a DS-1. Sure, they are not perfect but they can sound great.

Re: Old pedal stuff.....

I heard and played a ds1 into a fender hot rod and it sounded great, just gotta roll the tone way back and it's usable. Considering a used one goes for around 20 bucks, anyone should own one. Could come in handy.

Re: Old pedal stuff.....

I have always said learn to play rthe amp. Learn to set the knobs. Learn how to use (and not overuse) effects.

You SHOULD be able to sus a decent sound out of most boxes given a little gumption.

DS-1 has been around for 20-30 years for a reason. And it has nothing to do with tone snobs and boo-teek-geeks. Long after their high entry snooty dirt machine du jour has came and went, DS-1 will be soldiering on.
