Old recording, new vocals

Hi guys. After so many years, I finally put some vocals to this OLD song from the early 80s I wrote, recorded myself about six or so years ago (with lotsa timing errors, lol. and cheesy sounding drums). Tonight I finally recorded the vocals. Don't know why, just did. Hope you like it. The first three or so minutes is just an instrumental I cooked up a few years back, then you can hear the song start with the typical 80s guitar riff after the mellow piano part.

Re: Old recording, new vocals

OK the first part reminds me of a great old band called Arcangel, sort of faux prog, cool.

The tune you redid is pretty cool a bit of Zebra influence? Maybe some Krokus too?

Good stuff

Definitely not Krokus, but I do love Zebra. I was a huge Rush fanatic (still am) when I wrote that song but I think Zebra's first album just may have been released. You may have seen something about the composition I didn't, ha ha. Now I'll have to check out Arcangel. I've never heard of them.

You know it is all looking back seeing it. The vocals reminded me a bit of Marc Storace, not a big Krokus fan but the guy has pipes. Probably should just say it reminded me of more than influenced, all in a good way.

Arcangel is pretty obscure - here's some info

Know what? Since I consider myself a guitarist over everything else, I thought you were talking about the music. I wanted to try and give it an Ian Gillan type of vocal, but yeah, I can really see the Krokus connection now, ha ha. I'm pretty flattered that you would compare me to him, bro. Thank you.
