On the topic of the 36th Anni Bridge... what does it sound like in the neck?

Always liked the 36th Anni (not Bridge) in the neck matched with lower output pickups. I remember really liking the '59B matched with the 36th Anni in the neck because the 36th Anni is rounder and smoother and not as boomy as the '59N (or the Jazz).

However, matched with higher output pickups like I'm using now, I never could get it to work. Even for a PAF-type, I feel it's on the lower end of the spectrum regarding output because of the Airbucker thing.

You guys know I've been wanting to swap out my Evo Neck for something a bit leaner for a while. I always liked the neck version of the 36th Anni in the neck, just wished it was hotter. I wonder if the 36th Ani Bridge would be just that, or if it's going to be too fat and dark for the neck position at 8.6K (compared to the 7.3 of the neck version).

So... has anybody used it?

ive never done it, but with my brief experience with the bridge model in the bridge, id think it would be too dark for what i look for. you might like it though. its not super fat on the bottom so might work for higher gain stuff. i feel confident in saying that the tones i go for are much cleaner than what you go for so maybe it would kick ass

Thank you.

I don't mind a litltle dark. I like the regular 36th Anni exactly because it's rounder/smoother than all the Duncan pups I've tried in the 7K-ish range. But there's also too dark and bland like the JB in the neck.
