... I bought a second hand Gibson SG supreme! I got it for a steal I bid £750 pounds and it sold for £666.66 (not sure how that happened), which is about 1050USD.
Not sure why but the used the custom headstock (not that I am complaining!)
PRS's have always been the best made guitars I have played and mine was no different. I could use the whammy bar hard all day and it wouldn't go out of tune. Whereas the SG goes out of tune every hour of hard playing, but I couldn't care less due to the tone I get out of it. It sounds more like a les paul than an SG, and rolling back the tone to about 8 it's hard to distinguish from an LP as well. The neck has the 60's profile and is super fast, and it's not as neck heavy as other SGs I've played. I think the body is slightly thicker than normal SGs but don't hold me to that.
I want to thank all you guys, blueman especially for your help in trying to resolve the PRS issue with electronics and pickups.
