... I bought a second hand Gibson SG supreme! I got it for a steal I bid £750 pounds and it sold for £666.66 (not sure how that happened), which is about 1050USD.

Not sure why but the used the custom headstock (not that I am complaining!)

PRS's have always been the best made guitars I have played and mine was no different. I could use the whammy bar hard all day and it wouldn't go out of tune. Whereas the SG goes out of tune every hour of hard playing, but I couldn't care less due to the tone I get out of it. It sounds more like a les paul than an SG, and rolling back the tone to about 8 it's hard to distinguish from an LP as well. The neck has the 60's profile and is super fast, and it's not as neck heavy as other SGs I've played. I think the body is slightly thicker than normal SGs but don't hold me to that.

I want to thank all you guys, blueman especially for your help in trying to resolve the PRS issue with electronics and pickups.

Very nice! Interesting tailpiece and 24 fret neck. Curious of the year. 1st and 5th serial number. I'm thinking '89-'92ish based on inlays and 24 frets.

Yeah the guy added the tailpiece due to the tuning issues I think. I'm gonna get new locking machine heads and then I'll probably swap it back to the original tailpiece.
The guy said it was a 2000 model, the first and fifth numbers are both 0.
I'm well pleased with the 24 frets, I've written them into a lot of songs because of the PRS and am glad I don't need to re-write

Yep 2000. My mistake. That neck style was on a few models in the history of Gibber but '89-'92 was a very busy time for that style. I have an Explorer 90 with that.

That SG looks real sweet. Green is a cool color on many guitars.

Thanks man, I'm Sri Lankan so on stage it's quite hard to see me, and my black guitar wasn't helping. So I thought getting one with some actual colour on it would help!
