I love Explorers and many replicas.. BUT, I dislike many replicas too.. I kinda like the Snakebite, (not my favorite and I dont like signature guitars, but....) Any how.. this isnt for me. I went to a local shop and a bud went too. I played a b stock snakebite they had there and it played really nice and my bud LOVED it.. I wish my explorer had big ole frets like that on it!
But this guitar is a great price as there is a Tiny paint blemish on it.

He also likes the Charvel star too. Whats the story with those? I know one of the forum bros got one and likes it. He cant play one around here anywhere

thanks

i love explorers as well, it was my first real guitar back in 88, at the time, it was $450.50 with tax, i still remember. im not too big on sig axes myself either, one day i went into gc to pick up some stuff, and i played the snakebyte, i loved it as well. i had no intention of ever acquiring it, in fact i thought it was real weird looking when i first saw it released. like a month later i picked it up. It def feels solid unlike a few other sig ltd's ive played. (ninja, alexi-600, even the ltd mustaine felt real cheap, like they was super chambered). The Het Set has quickly become one of my favorite pickups.

idk anything about the star tho.

Snakebite = hideous monstrosity. Kill it with a bat.

Charvel Star = fantastic, would rock the sh!t outta that, looks better than the ESP Gus G star too, imo.

i had one of the first Gus G LTDs, (not first made, but first generation, when they had the floyd) I loved the look and features and the fact it wasnt overly ornate as some sig models can be. Anyhow, I bought it cheap as a left over when they changed to the new style. That thing was a ripper! The duncan distortion slayed. I HATE that I sold it...
