Option A, B or C Strat configuration-

Hi, on this next project I’m going black pickups / black pickguard and knobs on a green strat body. Would you go
A. Classic Stack set S/S/S
B. Classic Stack set on Neck and Middle, Bridge is a JB Jr
C. Everything Axe (little 59, Duckbucker, JB Jr.)

I am compelled to start with A and then start switching out. But love the other two options too! I have an Everything Axe set up on one strat, but it has a Hot Rails in the bridge. It might be nice having the original Everything Axe set up with the JB….. Or hybridize them with option B! I’m just curious what you guys would do, it’s fun hearing preferences and interesting!

What do you want to use the guitar for? If you want the best sounding Strat you can get, choose A. If you need it to cover more rockin' stuff, choose B, and realize the JB Jr sounds nothing like a classic Strat pickup (that's the point). If you need that rockin' bridge pickup, also want a buttery neck pickup and think the only classic Strat sound you will ever use is the middle pickup, pick C.

Like everyone else in this thread I will not be using one of your ideas.

What you're asking is "which will I like better, and SSS, HSS, or HSH configuration?". We can't decide that for you, you'll have to go to a guitar store for yourself and determine whether you find a single coil or humbucker better in the bridge and neck positions.
