Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I have a PPC112 which I use with my Randall RD1H or a Krank Rev Jr. I'd love an OR15 or a Dark Terror or TH30 to go along with it. :)

I have an OR-15, Dark Terror, and a Micro Dark.

I would love to have either a CS-50 or the OR-50 and a 4x12 for them all.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I currently have Tiny Terror. Don't plan to get another Orange anytime soon.

However, once they release Rocker 32 in head version. I probably have to get that. Only reason I didn't jump for it previously, was because I don't want nor need a combo.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I had an AD5 ; a very bright amp that sounded in no way Orange. Not any good through a cabinet or internal speaker. Also had a Crush 30 watt, older model; very good cleans, ridiculous drive. I want a Tiny Terror combo though.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

have: Rockerverb MKIII 50w, CR120, PPC212OB, PPC412, Dual Terror, OR15, Custom shop 50

Want: Dual dark

I bet they'd sell like crazy if they made them into heads.

Currently it's like, yeah, little rocker amps? Yeah! Oh, they're combos. Oh, the combos have 10" speakers... Not my thing, personally.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I have a 90s Orange Overdrive and a 70s Orange Reverb Twin. I wouldn't mind a Rockerverb and an AD30 in the stable....

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

Have the Dual Terror

Had a AD15 Combo, AD30 head and a Micro Terror

Sold the AD30 to my buddy so I still get to use it ;)

I'd like a combo of some sort maybe a Rocker 32 I was pretty impressed with it when I tried it out.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

Wow cant believe it. A couple of weeks ago was over at the guitar shop chat with the boys and so on. Always take a walk around to see if anything new in the way of amps, and no there wasn't. So yesterday told my wife I was heading down to see Tony and the guys at the shop. Was chewing the fat for about a half hour when I swiveled around on my chair to see a Rocker15. I said to Tony when did that come in he said about a week ago, couldn't believe it I didn't order one but I sure like the amp. Don't have the dollars to buy one right now, so now I will have to keep my eyes focused on the front counter when I go in LOL.

I have an Orange AD-140 TC & 4x12 cab. The Orange amp I'm most likely to buy is the CR 120, because I don't have a solid state amp, and I've heard it is one of the best, and I'd like to check it out.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I have an AD50. Only other I might want is a 1970's pics / Matamp collaboration head.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

How do you like the OR15? I'm eyeing it.

Love it. A little monster. Not a lot of clean headroom, but great classic tones to pretty gainey stuff if needed.

Bought it used off CL about 5 years ago. Had no idea of it, so I found Anderton's YouTube demo of it. That sold me. If I could get it to sound a tenth as good as Chapper's could, I knew I had to buy it.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

I do not own an Orange. However, I will tell you that the first Orange I ever played was an AD30 about 6 years ago. It was definitely cool, but lacking a little balls or something. Then three years ago I was out of state and decided to visit a Guitar Center close to my hotel. The only amps they had besides the typical JVM and Fender Hot Rod was the Orange Rockerverb MKII. It was instant satisfaction. The MKII didn't have the power reduction or sound as good at low volume as the MKIII now does, but that got me gassing so bad for a Rockerverb. I never could seem to get one though.

Then less than a year ago I tried my third Orange and it was the Custom 50. Again, it was instant satisfaction. Those are some impressive amplifiers. Recently I tried an OR15 which was fun to play, but nowhere in the ballpark of the Custom 50. Then I tried the Dual Dark one and was disappointed that it didn't have a nice clean channel like the Rockerverb. I don't care which comes first, but the first impassible bargain I come across whether it's the Rockerverb or the Custom 50, I'm going to take it and join the Orange society. I'm honestly kind of envious that I don't at least have an OR15 or something.

Re: Orange amp you have now and do you want another.

Couple of years ago... after a whole lot of gassing for one, I bought a new Orange CR120h online, but as my luck often has it :laugh2: it turned out to be "out of stock" (they'd just sold their last one) and finally after many months of waiting for a re-stock which never happened I cancelled my order & was refunded. I still want one though (unfortunately prices have gone up a whole lot since) ..& solid state or not.. it's by far and away the best sounding Orange amp ever to my ears.

I don't know about that but I had one of those little Tiny Terrrors that are about the width and height of a large smartphone and had a ton of fun. They have a tiny little matching cab that you would think probably sucks, but it's quite good. Of course, being me, I just used my 1x12 and it was loud for its size. It's designed with a single preamp tube I think. If you haven't tried that, then you should check it out. They're pretty cheap too.
