Mojo Hand FX Magpie Overdrive...Seems very versatile and still rich and complex!




Earthquaker Devices Afterneath Otherwordly Reverberator...This thing is sooo cool! So many sounds in there!





Then I'm undecided on a Delay...I want something with modulation and tap that will work with my 1spot. I'm not going to overhaul me entire power supply for a Delay. These are my candidates...

Diamond Memory Lane Jr...I've always kinda lusted after this one!


Boss DD-20...The standard


Diamond Quantum Leap Delay...Versatile and still sounds amazing!


Empress Tape Delay...Loaded with features!

Empress makes really nice pedals. I've had their tremolo for a few years now, and it does everything I could want from a trem while sounding great.

I've always wanted the Empress Vintage Modified. So if the Tape Delay is on par with that, I'd go for it. I'm jealous of that Afterneath pedal though, let us know what you think!

The Empress is definitely in the lead...LOVE that it has an option for 3 presets! Just wish it had a width knob for the modulation instead of a switch. Might be able to dial it in with the tap?

It basically takes what many consider the best mode on the VM (Tape) and puts in in a smaller box with all the other tweakable parameters that people love on the VM.

Cool stuff. I'm a happy Empress user myself. Great sounding delay, easy to adjust on the fly and the ability to have presets. What more could you want?

I've never tried the Empress but I routinely miss my old ML Jr. It's an amazing delay that I highly recommend trying.

That empress has been on my radar too. I think I like what I hear from the belle epoch more, but the tap and 3 presets is a big plus for the empress.

That's what I'm thinking. I love some sounds from some other stuff too, but these sound great and have lots of extras!

We'll see, the Afterneath and Magpie should be here today...the Paramount Saturday?

It's literally been over a year since I even took my electric out of it's case!

I'm hoping some new sounds will help me look forward to playing again?
