Wow! Nice! You're gonna love that thing! Every couple of years, there's a new color that becomes real popular. Around 2000, it was shades of silver. In the past few years, it's been shades of blue. Now, it seems that the 'color of the year' is shades of rootbeer. I love that color! I love my McCarties. I'm really gassing for a Les Paul Std in flamed rootbeer. I like the 2 tone nickel/gold on yours!

Another thing....don't be afraid to play it. You bought it, so make it your number one and use it proudly. Such a shame to see people thinking about the money spent, then saving the guitar for a presentation piece. Be careful with it, and play the heck out of it.

I hear ya man. I fully intend on putting this thing through its paces. I'm gonna really enjoy doing it to.
As for the finish color...............it's 'Tortoise Shell'. It looks abit darker in the photo than it will in person I would imagine. So, it's not quite as cool as a 'faded rootbeer' finish, but it should still be damn nice.

It's Indian Rosewood. I've never played a guitar with an IRW neck, but I think I'm gonna like it.

I'd say it's the kissing cousin of mine. You will enjoy that IRW neck. I know I'm about to sell mine, but that neck just keeps calling me saying "Don't sell me!"
Haha! Beautiful guitar. That tortoise shell color is a classic. Lots of private stock PRSi are ordered with that color.

Same family (Dalbergia or True Rosewood) but Indian Rosewood and Jacaranda are different species (I'm not a biology student so I can't tell if species is the right word) but they are both True Rosewoods
My problem is there are multiple types of Rosewoods that are classified as Brazilian and Jacaranda is one of them ... from what writings I've looked at I can't tell if Jacaranda is Dalbergia Nigra or not. But if it is and the BLE stands for Brazilian Limited Edition, then the fretboard would be Jacaranda or Brazilian Rosewood

As is the headstock overlay. And the inlays on the headstock, signature and the word Brazillian, is done up in some awesome paua shell. The brazllian lettering is kinda green.
Then there's the birds. They're all paua as well.
