Well guys after sitting the guitar down for a few months (i was at UofM) hospital after a huge heath problem arose (woke up on a vent after 6 days in hospital nearly 2 months) i decided that i wanted to get something new. So i bought an Ibanez S series but wasnt happy with the infinity 2 hums in it.

So i called my old buddy wade who has wound a few hums up for me in the past. We talked on the phone nearly 2 hours about what i wanted and what goes into this custom humbucker 1 off. Seeing how i play alot of technical death metal we went with a hybrid between the Nuke (super hot with tight low end without mud) and the Solution (more articulate and really punchy) its going to take about 3 weeks for him to get it hand wound with a large ceramic (really dense mix) mag and hes going to tweek it as he goes.

Cant wait to get it every hum he has wound for me is amazing and this one is a Warpig killer for sure.

What guitar is this for? Do you still have that Guerilla that you bought last year?

Freakin' love MPC bro. I've had 5 MPCs...gave the Wrathchild to a friend, but I got my A4 Bridge custom and 2nd Dg Blackbelt neck in my LP and a Super 70 rewind with a Carvin A2 Rewind in my HM Strat. Lovin' every minute of 'em!

the guerilla met an untimely end. my son came into my music room and pulled on the stand. it went over and the head stock has a chunk out of it. plus now there is a small crack in the back of the head stock and when you start to tune it the whole head stock flexes. :(

Hope you are doing well now. I wouldn't call it an untimely end. With a proper repair it could be a rebirth! Haven't heard of MCP. Will have to look them up.

a buddy of mine swears by MCP's! I played his one guitar loaded with a second degree black belt and it is definitely a great tone.
heard nothing but great things about MCP

yeah i took it in to a repair shop and they wont touch it its pretty beat up.. as far a MCP goes like i said we talked about what i wanted in a hum not what they had or wanted me to have. He listened and suggested things that opened my mind to things that i hadnt considered like the dc output is not the end all be all in the tone department. Like i said we were talking for over an hour just about what we could achieve taking all variables in consideration like style equiptment and whatnot. at the end of the conversation he left me feeling like i helped design the overall tone and i was satasfied.
