OK. I postponed my look for my Epiphone Les Paul pickups, mainly because I caught a really good deal on a set of '59s.
I've heard they go pretty good in an SG style guitar, so I figured I'd try 'em in it. The problem is, while the neck and everything plays great on the Samick.. (Honestly, it plays better than some Gibsons SGs that I've played in guitar center/a friend also has a Gibson), I know the electronics need to be replaced. They feel and sound cheap.
So what style pots should I get?
I've been looking at Bourns on ebay. Cuz a lot of people say the Alphas and CTS ones arent that great.
So my biggest questions are this. The pots I've found and added to my watch list are Bourn mini pots. Those will work right?
Also I should use Audio pots for volume and linear for tone correct? and Orange drops for the tone... .47 or .22 for the 59s in the SG?
I know.. lot of rambling.. I can clarify if needbe, just need some guidance before I buy..
