Orville LP Pickup Help

Hey all,

I have a 1990 Orville Les Paul Custom. I am gutting the entire thing so i can rid of all the crappy electronics. Simply put, I am a metalhead. I play through a Mesa Triple Rec, treble and bass as noon, mids at 11, presence at 10. Gain at 1. I use a MXR Zakk wylde as a conservative boost to tighten everything up and make it more "In your face". We play New age thrash with some progressive aspects added. I need a pickup that will hold its structure with loads of gain and with complex chords. I also need it to have a real nice Alex Skolnic-esque/John Petrucci-esque lead sound. Clean is huge for me too. I have to have my good cleans. Coil Tap is a must. I like the jazz for my Neck pickup, if there is anything better with my setup, please say so! For the bridge I am considering a JB, Distortion or whichever custom would go well. I'm not sure which cause I get all those customs mixed up!
Peace,

PATB 1 or 2

Wonderful cleans, but much more articulate drive than the K reading would suggest. The '1' is like a Custom, or Custom 5, but with note sweetness like a JB, the '2' is like the Distortion, so its a riff monster. Both are 4-conductor so you can split or parallel wire it with no issue.
