Overall Good Gigging Amp for a Working Musician: Peavey???

Re: Overall Good Gigging Amp for a Working Musician: Peavey???

Rivera makes some nice little tube combos. IIRC the 55 watt 1x12 combo was only like 59lbs?

Congrats on the Classic 30! They're great little amps and will certainly hold up to alot of use and abuse.

That clean channel is one of the best kept secrets of the amp-crank that right up and it's tone heaven! The second channel can be torked with, but I do generally use mine like you do yours; Strats and Teles into second channel and Les Pauls into cranked first channel.

Enjoy!

Put a Celestion Vin 30 or H30 in it, and humbuckers won't slam it into fart mode.

If I were you Id sell of your dual rectifier since you dont use it any more and are very expensive and buy something like this, they are great amps class A combos and in the wattage range you described, (me personally i dont like the sound of pushed peaveys) even rivera is a good choice
