Overpriced, useless stuff - what to pick?

Re: Overpriced, useless stuff - what to pick?

If i had money to spend i would buy more tools. :fest7: Thicknesser, jointer and a band saw please.

I have a band saw, but I don't have a thicknesser or a jointer, and I REALLY need them.

Donate money to me (really stupid idea), or go full-retard and order a Custom Shop Zephyr.

Other good choices are their gold, mining, and commodities funds, their healthcare funds, and their energy funds if you're into active trading sector funds.

OT: I had a lot more written, but being I'm licensed in the securities industry I figured I'd rather play it safe than sorry (especially with the SEC randomly setting up shop in my broker-dealer) and only say shiny things tend to frighten me.

This not a recommendation, solicitation or condemnation....rather it is probably an abomination, mental altercation, or an aberration with a slight bit of evasion and a showing of consternation.

Buy gold. The price may go up and down but it never loses value. Anywhere.

What is that an electric mistress clone that sounds like one?

You've never seen/tried a Deluxe Memory Man?! <gasp>

The finest analog delay probably ever produced. It has the clearest repeats and the most time. It also has the "modulation effect" so as to give you the opportunity to get closer to a tape delay's "flutter" on repeats. It also has a built-in preamp you can use to make some different shades of dirty or just a small boost before the amp to overcome a long cable run.

Peter does a great job showing you what all it can do here.

I'm not a huge delay heady, but it is so natural and versatile I'm lost without it.

Mike can also soup it up to give you 1 full second of delay.

There's also this bastard thing that somebody pointed me to. Circular polarizing filter for my camera. Price is in the pull down, I need 82mm.

Not being a camera guy, I'll defer to someone else's judgement on that one!

Re: Overpriced, useless stuff - what to pick?

If you already have a decent polarizer I'd pass on that... (Unless you shoot film)
Do you have Lightroom? I had been using Aperture until I got an obnoxious deal on Lightroom 4, *wow* now that's something to spend money on.

I still like the Zephyr ideas...

I do all postprocessing in Linux and FreeBSD.

I'm a little off the roll today and probably shouldn't make any decisions.
