P-90 for Wildcat

Hello -
I want to buy my 18 year old son some new pickups for his birthday. These would be going in his Epiphone Wildcat. He does not play anything too wild. Johnny Cash, Bealtles, Stones, Pink Floyd, Dylan, Eagles, Bobby Darin, Lou Reed etc. etc. I guess it would be smart to change pots, switches and jacks at the same time.
Thanks For Your Help Everyone

Re: P-90 for Wildcat

Get a set of 500k CTS pots, .022 mfd orange drop caps, and a switchcraft jack and switch.

As far as what pickups, I'd say a Vintage P-90 in the neck with a neck version of the Custom at the bridge would work well.

I've played this combo in PRS McCarty's before and it sounds great. The bridge pickup is hotter than vintage, but it's not overbearing, just authoritative. :)

Well, you are one nice dad!

I've never got pickups, hell, not even a pack of strings from my father. I suspect that he doesn't even know that i play guitar! :D

As Benjy said, CTS pots, Switchcraft jack & pup selector, and a VP90\CP90 combo would be the absolute best, atleast to my knowlegde.

Good luck! :)
