P-Rails and Tripleshots - Reversed Wiring

Hi there,

Had a set of P-Rails for some time but finally bought some trpleshots. The wiring instructions mention "reversed wiring" without actually saying why you might want to do this, or what it actually does. Reading several threads here I think I've found the answer but it would be nice if one of the P-rail gurus could confirm if I've got it right.

I plan to reverse wire the bridge tripleshot as in the diagram, I'm thinking the only differences this makes are:
1. The tripleshot switch positions will be orientated correctly with the P-90s and Rails.
2..The signal path of the bridge pickup in hubucker series mode will be P-90/Rail while neck is Rail/P-90, which I assume make no difference.

Thanks for any help

Yes, it only has to do with which coil is active when both switches are pointed toward the coil closest to the bridge or toward the coil closest to the neck. In reverse mode the switches point toward the active coil.

Makes no difference which coil is first in series mode.

OK, thanks for that. Thought that was the case but just wanted to be sure before heating my soldering iron up.
