P-Rails clips (Fender DRRI, Marshall 2553)

Re: P-Rails clips (Fender DRRI, Marshall 2553)

Dude, great clips. Thanks for all the effort that went into those.

I found myself really liking the parallel and rail sounds in particular.

All of those sound good. Great job! Do you find the P-rails to be more responsive to picking dynamics and guitar volume roll-off in any particular mode, or would you say it's pretty much the same type of response in any?

Thanks for the compliments! I do notice a little difference in rolling off the volume depending on the mode, but not that much of a difference. For me the lower-output modes (rails and parallel) seem to provide a bit more picking dynamics, but I would say the same for most low output pickups that I have played.

Being primarily a Strat player, I find the rails and parallel settings are my "go-to" setttings for clean tones, switching to the P-90's for when I need a little more raw aggression, and the series for all-out chunky hard rock/metal. The parallel is probably my favorite mode of the bunch, I REALLY like that mode; I would have been pleased with these pickups even if that was the only mode that I could use; the rails are a great alternative for more Fender-like tones, and the P-90's and series modes are just "icing on the cake" for when I'm in that mood. So far, I'm loving the pickups!

The double cremes are tits on your PRS. I have a black set, but haven't mounted them yet as my project guitar is still in need of cutting, gluing, and less procrastination in general. I might just throw them into my semi-hollow and be done with it.
