P-Rails in 24 fret neck

Hi, has anyone put P-Rails in a 24 fret neck axe?

I'm asking if the 'Strat Quack' setting sounds ok with the pickups being a little closer than on a 21/22 fret neck.

Would turning the neck P-Rail through 180° be better or worse?

I'm wondering about buying an Indie IPR set neck guitar (a lot like a PRS SE) and putting P-Rails in it.

Cheers guys!

Re: P-Rails in 24 fret neck

I had them in a 24 fretter for awhile. The Strat cluck is great with the Rails to the inside. It's a little more "bridge/middle" sounding than "neck/middle". The neck Rail by itself is a little more like a Strat middle pickup at that location, but it still is cool. If you flip it you'll notice little to no difference in the P90 sound, because it's almost centered. But the Rail coil will sound a lot more like a Strat neck. You can flip it after you install it, too, with no soldering or anything, so feel free to experiment.

Thanks Frank,

Did you get much 'cluck' with the neck switched around? Or are the blades too far apart?
