P Rails question

Hello,

I've just purchased my first ever semi hollow - and Epiphone 335 lefty, and am going to buy P Rails with the Seymour Duncan Triple Shot rings.

My question is which P Rails should I buy, the medium or high output ones?

I'm looking to take advantage of all of the P90/single coil/humbuckers sounds, and use a Marshall JTM30 amp which has a very bright tone with lots of punch, so any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers
Darren

Re: P Rails question

Go for the medium. Alex Lifeson got plenty of heavier tones in early Rush with Gibons PAF-type (i.e. non-high-output) pickups in his 335, so unless you're attempting Speed Metal, you will not need the high-output version.

Re: P Rails question

There's only one neck model (original) and there's an Original bridge or P-Rails Hot bridge. Definitely get the Original bridge. The Hot should be used when the P90 sound has to be huge and overwound. The Hot is very hot!

Re: P Rails question

Thank you kindly, purchase completed!

I've already got hot SD's in a Les Paul, and I don't want a screamy feedback guitar!
