P-Rails, Triple Shots, and a little more!

Re: P-Rails, Triple Shots, and a little more!

Played through my little Roland Microcube last night. Made all kinds of cool sounds through the Blackface model with a spot of reverb!

Really liked the Rail single with the JC120 model...

... Have not done the both singles on yet to check for notch tone quack...

It's quack potential is probably a little compromised because the way you oriented the bridge and neck pups, the two blades are not facing each other. I've read quack is maximized when the two pickups in question, are closer together. Interested to hear back what you find for quack performance. I've got a set of these i have been wanting to install in my Epi LP.

One supposed converse benefit to having the neck rail facing the neck lke you do, per a reviewer guy on youtube, is that that neck blade will sound "more like" a Strat neck position single (at least, when the PRail is installed in a Strat. Not sure how much so in a 24.75" scale. Maybe you can let us know).

Re: P-Rails, Triple Shots, and a little more!

It is not gonna fool anyone that it is a vintage Strat. However, it is a distinctly single coil tone - if a little sporty.

Kewl. And how was the quack when you combo'ed the 2 pups - each one set to single-coil mode?
