P-Rials neck in ec1000?

Has anyone tried putting a P-Rails neck pickup in a ltd ec1000?
Mine currently has the stock JB/59 set and, while the JB gives the sounds I want the 59 although good, is a little less inspiring than I would like it to be.
I am hoping the P-Rails with a triple shot will help give snappier clean sounds using either of its coils when split and a bigger, fatter tone for lead when in humbucking mode.
I think my problem is that the 24 fret neck makes the neck pickup a little too far down the body and makes it less fat than on a 21 fret neck.
Also, how to describe the difference in sound when switching between series and parralel when in humbucking mode?

I've never played a P-Rails in an EC1000, but my brother had a set in a 24-fret BC Rich Mockingbird for a while and I have a set in my SG now.

This is how I describe the sounds of the 4 different Triple Shot options:
P-90: Exactly what you'd expect; it sounds like an A5 P90, and it's the best humbucker-sized P90 I've heard without spending significantly more.
Rail: A very modern Strat sound; I think it sounds like a passive EMG-SA or maybe a single coil version of the Vintage Rails. I've heard that it's actually a Hot Rails coil, but I don't know if that's accurate.
Parallel: A bright PAF tone, with tight lows and somewhat subdued bass response. I've never played an A5 Pearly Gates (the PG+ doesn't count), but I imagine it'd sound a lot like this. I use my neck P-Rail in parallel about 80% of the time.
Series: Huge, fat, and LOUD. I don't have a ton of experience with really hot neck pickups, but this one kind of reminded me of a DiMarzio SuperD. In the bridge I find P-Rails in series sound a lot like a Gibson Iommi 'bucker.
