P90 wiring mod

Re: P90 wiring mod

With the standard braid lead, no. If it was 2-conductor plus bare, you could flip it out of phase and back.

Re: P90 wiring mod

Has anyone tried series, out-of-phase with P90s?

Yes I have, both only require a hot and ground wire. That's half of the Jimmy Page system. With that and mag swapping (including using two different magnets), you can change a P-90's sound.

Yep, just curious about the results, if it's worthwhile.

(I only like the series/out of phase of the Jimmy Page wiring when both pickups are split.)

It's worthwhile if you like a variety of tones from your PU's. Some guys don't.

I like HB's linked in series when the neck is in coil cut and the bridge I full HB. Since P-90's are single coils, you'd probably like them in series.
