PA system power amp recommendations

Need a practice space PA. We have speakers, two Yamaha BR12 600 watt speakers with stands, I think they are 8 ohm. We need a power amp.

Something cheap, two channel would suffice. Don't need a mixer. Would like to keep it in $300-$400 range. Any brands to avoid? I was looking at the QSC GX5 for example.

It just needs to be loud, it's for vocals at practice.

Hard to go wrong with Crown. But I have also had good experience with the Carvin DCM2000L. The 1000L is about 350 bucks and ~200 watts a channel should be enough for vocal chores.

crown, carvin, qsc, yamaha, peavey, cerwin vega... used all of those brands before with no issues
