Here's the deal. From now on, there's no excuse to have an amplified acoustic guitar that sounds like a duck that just inhaled helium.

Enjoy.

Re: Paradigm Shift - Mama Bear Videos

...but what if that's the sound I'm going for?

Re: Paradigm Shift - Mama Bear Videos

Very cool.

To be candid, I wasn't knocked out by the 12 string tones, but the rest was incredible. What a tremendously useful tool.

Re: Paradigm Shift - Mama Bear Videos

That's like super cool! A question though...how well does it work w/ a solid body w/ a piezo setup?

We were kicking ourselves for forgetting to bring the piezo-installed Strat to the video session. You'll just have to take my word for it: it sounds amazing. Simply amazing.

SWEET! This removes any and all hesitation I had about putting in a piezo system on my USA customs project. How much is the Mama Bear running cost wise?

Take it from me, guys... i tried that exact setup with the piezo-loaded Strat through the MB at UGD... it sounded FRIGHTENINGLY close to a real acoustic.

I'm really stoked about this. I love the sound of a good acoustic but hate playing them...I'm just an electric guy. I've thought about dropping a piezo system in guitars before but they always thought they sounded weak and thin.

This seems to be the ulitmate solution for me!

Did you try the resonator setting? That really gets me thinking about an MB.

Re: Paradigm Shift - Mama Bear Videos

Wow, this is by far the most exciting piece of gear I've seen in years!

I would love to try one in person. Anyone know of any Canadian retailers who stock them?

Re: Paradigm Shift - Mama Bear Videos

i listened to the vid clips at work and really couldnt hear much difference between the 'wet' and 'bypass' .... i listened to them at home (much better speakers) and am floored ... the difference is startling ... i really want one of these now ... gonna make a world of difference for me live ... i use an RMC piezo on my brian moore ... can't wait to go try one out with mine

Great videos... the Mama Bear sounds like a great solution for anyone wanting a great acoustic sound! I might have to check one out.

LMAO!! I would expect nothing less than a great comeback like that from you. Anyways, I watched all those videos and that really really is impressive.

It worked just as great! Been there, done that.

I'm digging this, I've already started "hook 9 up w/ a mama bear setup fund"!

Right now I'm looking into different piezo setups that I'll be able to retrofit into my guitar!
