Parallel Axis modding question.

If I swap the Alnico V magnet of an Original Parallel Axis trembucker for a thick ceramic magnet, does it become a Parallel Axis Distortion or are there any other differences?
And if not, what can I expect from such a change?

No. The Original Parallel Axis is 15.7k of wire on the bobbins, the Distortion is 21.3k of wire on the bobbins. You'll probably just get a slightly hotter, tighter Original Parallel Axis, but not a Distortion.
 
right. they are two different pups, youll get more output and a little tonal change. might be cool
