Parametric equalizers

Anyone making these today? I know the old Furman PQ-3 was the "secret weapon" that helped people like Jake E. Lee and Amir Derakh get their killer tones back in those days, but those are next to impossible to find in Europe. I know Behringer makes one, but I'm not realyl fond of that company so I would like to go for another option.

Re: Parametric equalizers

If you watch eBay, you can get a Maxon or Ibanez PQ9...which is whisper quiet, for about $100, a great sounding one. They come up about every month or so. They keep their value, so you can sell it if you don't like it. (I realized that it wasn't helping me all that much). The Boss SP-1 goes in the $300 range and does not sound as good as the Ibanez. (Maxon made the classic Ibanez pedals, just different brands for different countries, same guts).

Re: Parametric equalizers

boss made the pq-4 parametric eq that can be had for cheap.

Re: Parametric equalizers

The Boss I have is the PQ-3B for bass. The PQ-4 has parametric control for treble and midrange and shelved control for bass and presence. The PQ-3B has straight-ahead parametric control for bass, midrange, and treble, and the frequency range is pretty similar between the 2 pedals.
