passive bass control for SPB-3 (Quarter Pound P-Bass)

Hi,

I played the cheaper “Rockbass“ version of Adam Claytons Warwick signature model and really liked the tonal options of the SPB-3 pickup with passive treble and bass controls. I think it's the typical PTB circuit. What values should I use for the bass pot and the capacitor?

Since they were made as a drop-in replacement in a P-Bass, you can start with 250k pots all around and a .047 cap. Increase the pots if you find the sound too dark.

That would be values for the treble control, I guess? In a guitar, I'd use 1M or 500k c-taper pot and a 0,0022 uF cap as a starting point.

Definitely use 1 meg for the bass pot to make it not have the cap cutting bass on 10. I also like 1 meg for the volume pot and 500k (no load) for the tone pot for max string detail, but it's not too much and can be dialed back with the tone.
