I've been M.I.A. for quite some time now, but I never forgot that the only true place of knowledge on the internet is here!
I'm in need of your advice guys...
So I have a fairly high end guitar (E-II Horizon) and even though I tried hard, EMG is is not for me (not even the 57/66 which I think is by far their best offering).
Nazgul/Sentient rails to the rescue! While I am waiting for the delivery I started thinking if there would be a way to keep the quasi original and very neat looking solderless wiring by using one of these [EMG HZkits](https://www.emgpickups.com/parts/emg-wiring-kits/1-or-2-pickups-hz-passive.html)...
If I am not mistaken the only trick I need to perform here is to hack together the wires of my new SD pickups with the EMG kit's pickup connector wire while keeping in mind that on the SD the black wire is the hot and white and red goes together if I don't want to split (which I dont) as opposed to the EMG HZ where green is hot and black and white gets taped together.
I understand this might be asking for more trouble than just wiring up old school, but now I'M curious if it's doable at all. I can do my basic soldering and wiring, but I do not know enough to judge if my idea would work... Could you please point me in the right direction?
