on the old USA Catalog for '88-'89, there is a PATB on the bridge, the catalog says Duncan Trembucker, I believe it mean the Original.
I didn't know that the PATB ever came standard in a guitar:smack:
Other guitar models have the JB!

The Pro Axe? Sure. I remember the ads in the guitar mags, wiht a pic of the guitar sporting a Trembucker.

Hamer was providing Trembuckers as factory pickups on a few of their models about that time too.

I seem to remember there was also a hair metal version of the ad, with Derek Frigo from Enuff Z'Nuff as the endorsee...long live late '80's and early '90's guitar mags, they were actually useful back then! :)

+1000, there are no axes like 80's super strats (in my opinion)

that would start another thread :)

But there are some great super strats now, ESP, Jackson... even though they tend to be more for metal than for Rock IMHO

Ibanez are a love/hate situation

Re: PATB on a Kramer back in '89!

No one says you have to use superStrats for metal. In the 80's, Frank Gambale, Scott Henderson and others were using superStrats to play fusion.

In any thread mentioning great superstrats still being built in the 21st century, we can't leave out Robin guitars. The Medley is still one of the great superStrats.

I play mainly super strats and don't just play metal.

I was refering to the '80s glam Hair Metal, sorry if I gave the wrong impression
