Pearly Gates for Telecaster?

Anyone tried the Pearly Gates for Telecaster? I'm a big ZZ Top fan and saw Billy Gibbons using a Tele that i think has this pickup in it. I know a lot of tone is in the fingers, but I'd like to hear anyone's experience with the pickup.

I don't think SD makes a Tele sized Pearly Gates. I know Billy has a number of Tele's with only a bridge p'up. I believe they are custom made by another manufaturer.
I have a Tele with a Pg bridge and a Qtr Pnd neck set up. It's name is Rev. Billy and it gives me all ZZ Top tones I want.

If you watch the "Live From Texas" DVD Billy G has a custom Tele that he plays towards the end. I read somewhere that he had Duncan make him a "Lil Pearly Gates" for this guitar. It also has a reverse headstock and I believe it's Gibson scale. Cool axe.

I have a Tele with a humbucker in the neck position. Never thought of putting a Pearly Gates in there.. Maybe it's a good idea.

The custom shop Pearly Gates for Telecaster one is the one I am talking about and the Live From Texas DVD is telecaster I am referring to. Cool guitar. Sounds like a neat pickup which is why I was hoping someone has tried it.
