Pearly Gates, Screaming Demon or '59 in Strat?

I am doing a HSS Strat with 2 Fender Texas Specials in the singles positions. I am interested in one of these three pickups for the bridge. I want something that matches up well and isnt too different sounding than the singles.

What are the exact tonal differences between these 3 pickups and which would work best for this situation? Thanks in advance :)

The Pearly Gates matches up great with the singles...it's not too hot and it actually has a smooth high end with a cutting upper midrange with isn't all that different from a single. Of course it's fat and middy, which singles aren't, but it just makes it match really well. Oh and it takes 250k pots very well IMO, which is always a plus when wiring up an HSS set up.

The Pearly gets my vote.

I haven't had a 59, but have or have had the other 2 and I vote for the Pearly Gates

I honestly don't hear a lot of difference in the type of fretboard one uses. I think it's over rated.....but then again I've been rockin for 33 years and probably have hearing damage:1:

I would say PG. I have a HSS Strat and the PG works great with a Strat. You want to avoid a HB that may be too dark sounding. Unless that is what you like.

Tuff question.

The '59 & Demon are similar. The Demon being more ballsy & tighter.
I would go with a Pearly Gates.

The Pearly Gates has more mids.

I took the '59 out of my Tele & installed the PG. The reason is it sounded to muddy.
The '59 on my Iceman with Demon.

The safe beat is the PG. It will work very well with the Special. Especially if youre playin bluez.
I find the others give a great rock tone.
