I've read a few times recently that the PG pickups have 'mismatched' coils. Does this mean that one coil has more turns than the other?
If this is so, would splitting the PG to select the 'hotter' coil give a louder sound than splitting to give the lesser coil?
Secondly, if one were to have PG in neck and bridge, would it be possible to split both pickups so that, in the middle position, the two selected 'hotter' coils would be RW/RP (i think thats the term - hum cancelling anyway!)
