Re: Peavey AMPKIT LiNK
Having played with POD Farm alot, I'm not sure how much I'd like the L6 app. Ive always found it difficult to dial in. by the time im done, I have so much in my signal chain that the sound hardly resembles the intended models.
I found with the jamup, that I can keep it simple. Right now I'm using the treadplate amp and I never use treadplate amps. They have always sounded terrible to me. The one in jamup sounds amazing.
The problem in deciding between the apps is features. One app will have something the others dont and vice versa, so in the end, you have to go with what you will use the most. If recording is your thing, the jamup wouldn't be for you. It has a looper but not so much anything in a recording feature as of yet.
I'm using it mainly as a practice device. my initial desire was just something simple that sounded good enough to inspire more practice. They all accomplish that and then some. What sold me on the jamup is the jam utility and being able to loop a specific part of a song and slow it down. Amplitube allows you to do this also, but jamup also allows you to change the key so you dont have to completely retune the guitar. With ampkit, i could load a song and play it, thats about it, unless i missed something.
