i was curious , so i pulled out one of the speakers (4x12). the model number on the back of it is 1290. anyone familiar with this speaker?what do you think? how do they rate?just lookin for a little history/knowledge.thanks.

Ive heard them a bit and they're not bad...nothing out of the ordinary though, just pretty standard sounding to me. Someone once said they thought they had similar tonal characteristics to a vintage 30.

whofan-the model # is 412M stereo gtr enc.(that's what it says on the back)there are no markings on the front other than "sheffield equipped"in the bottom right corner.
