I'm stoked about this amp. Bought it off the 'bay. Reasonable price and looks awesome. Vintage tweed is sweet. I want to retube it with J/J tubes and have been looking for a dealer. They sell a ECC803S for the preamp section and I'm looking for someone on the east coast for my fix. Don't want my tubes traveling all the way from Cali. if I can help it. Thanks if you can recommend a J/J dealer.

Congrats on the amp! If you can't find a good price for tubes on the East Coast, I've bought tubes from both Todd at www.revolutionguitar.com and Bob at www.eurotubes.com and they packed them extremely well surrounded by foam peanuts. These two guys give great service.

+1000 for Revolutionguitar... Todd is an awesome guy to deal with and a class 1 businessman.... fast shipping and good prices...

Another nod for Bob at Eurotubes. Nice tubes, well packed, and quickly shipped. I'm on the East Coast as well and it generally only takes 3 days from time of the order to get here.

Bob's a hootenanny...he'll talk your ear off and has forgotten more about tube amps than I will ever know. He asks the questions you want to hear; how does the amp sound now, what's in it, how do you want it to sound, etc.

It have to be a HUGE reason to get me to order from anyone else.

Re: Peavey Classic 30, advice...?!?

first, congrats on the amp. Im in New York and have gotten tubes from eurotubes twice with no problems. those ecc803's are my favorite new production tubes. they sound like my RCA 7025's

Re: Peavey Classic 30, advice...?!?

Thanks a bunch guys. I have been trying to order from eurotubes and I cannot get through for some reason. Tried from home computer and at work. Are they having server problems?!? Pro'lly just me. Their sight doesn't 'cept my log in....:smack:

another +1 for Eurotubes.

I have a Delta Blues that I've swapped the tubes for JJ EL84's and a GT Mullard 12AX7 in V1. They are incredible amps for the money.

Also, the classic 30 does very nicely with a new speaker... Try a Weber Blue Dog or a Eminence Red Fang.
